On July 15, 2025, we will officially retire the Lite app as we transition to a single, more powerful mobile experience through the full Verto app. After this, those still using the Lite App and meeting the below criteria, will no longer be able to login.
Does this affect me?
It does if you meet the following criteria:
You are a Nigerian business
You signed up for the Verto Lite mobile app
You only have access to the dollar card feature
You haven’t completed the full KYC/KYB verification.
If you have already completed full onboarding through the web app, this does not apply to you and you do not need to do anything.
Why we’re making this change
The Lite app was created to give Small Businesses in Nigeria quick access to a Verto dollar card. But it didn’t support everything you need to grow, like multiple wallets, international payouts, or full compliance checks.
Now that we have built that into the full Verto app, we are moving everyone onto one app. This means fewer bugs, better support, and more features, faster.
What you need to do
If you are using the Lite app and haven’t fully verified your business, follow these steps:
Open the full Verto app on your phone. If it’s already installed, there’s no need to download anything.
Sign in using the same details you used on the Lite app.
Complete your verification. The app will guide you through it, including ID checks, CAC documents, and source of funds.
Once you are verified, you will have continued access to your card and wallet, plus a whole lot more cross-border payment features.
Upgrading to the full Verto App access gives you the following benefits:
Global business accounts in USD, GBP, and EUR
Local collection accounts
Multicurrency wallets to hold and manage funds
Corporate cards for your team
FX conversion at market rates
Advanced liquidity tools for larger trades
International and local payouts
Payment links to collect from customers
Business APIs for automation
Real-time transaction tracking and filters
What happens after July 15, 2025
After this date and if you have not completed the upgrade, you won’t be able to log in through the Lite app anymore.
You will lose access to your wallet and card via the Lite app.
Any remaining funds in your wallet will require help from our support team.
We will help you return those funds to the account they originally came from.
To avoid these disruptions, we recommend you complete your verification in the full app as soon as possible.
