How to connect your PayPal business account to your Verto local and global accounts

Using Verto to get a better rate on your currency conversions on money received in PayPal

Updated over a year ago

Using Verto local accounts, customers can avoid PayPal's conversion fees by withdrawing money in the same currency which they received from their PayPal business account to their Verto local accounts in GBP, USD, DKK, and EUR.

To withdraw money from your Paypal business account, first you need to link your Verto global or local account to your PayPal account. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the PayPal website, and log in.

  2. Click 'Wallet'.

  3. Click "Add a bank account" .

  4. Find your Verto global and local account details by following the steps below:

    1. Log in to the Verto platform

    2. Click "Account & Wallets" on the left hand sidebar.

    3. Click the currency you wish to withdraw from Paypal.

    4. Click "Bank Account Details" near the top of the screen.

    5. Your Local/Global account details will be shown, as in the screenshot below.

  5. Once you have found these details, enter them into the fields shown in the "Add a bank account" section of PayPal.

You may need to complete some security checks with PayPal, so that you can use the Verto account to receive funds from PayPal and to fund your PayPal account from your Verto wallet. This often involves sending a small amount of money to the Verto account, with a unique reference, which must be entered into the PayPal website to verify the account. Once these checks have been completed, your PayPal account will be successfully linked with your Verto local account.
