How to book a conversion and payment when you don't have enough money in your wallet.

Making a conversion and payment without money in your wallet

To make a conversion (and payment if needed) when you don't have enough money available in your wallet in the currency you wish to convert from, you can use an Exchange Deal transaction. Follow the steps below to create an Exchange Deal transaction:

Please note that Exchange Deal transactions will not be completed until it's paid for via your wallet.

Step 1

  1. Login to your Verto account at https://exchange.vertofx.com

Step 2

On the left hand sidebar, click the Exchange icon.

Step 3

Click Lock a deal under the Exchange deal heading.

Step 4

Choose the currencies you want to convert, and enter the amount you would like to convert from or to. Click Continue.

Step 5

Choose whether you want to send the money to a bank account or deposit in your Verto wallet. If you are sending to a bank account, then either choose a recipient if you've already added the recipient, or click Add Recipient to create a new one.

Scroll down, choose a purpose of payment, and click Send to bank account or Send to wallet, depending on where you are sending the money.

Step 6

On the Funding Source screen, preview the account details you to which you'll need to send the money to, and make sure you're able to send to these details.

Ensure you are happy with the conversion rate and the destination of the payment. Once you have reviewed all the details and are sure you wish to proceed, click Confirm FX Deal.

Note: Confirm FX Deal is clicked, the conversion cannot be cancelled, and we expect payment within 24 hours. Failure to pay for Exchange Deal transactions within this timeframe may result in suspension of your Verto account


Step 7

Now, send the amount specified to the details shown. You can choose Local to view local account details (e.g. sending GBP to a UK account), or Global to view global account details (e.g. sending USD to a UK account).

Once we receive the money, it will be added to your wallet. Then, within 15 minutes, the amount needed for this payment will be deducted from your wallet, and the payment will be completed.
