Transfers under 1,000,000 GBP can be sent via Faster Payments (FPS), which is a local UK payment system. Delays can be caused by compliance related issues, however, settlement with Faster Payments is almost instant, and supported by your GBP local account.

If payments are sent to your Verto GBP local account via CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System), transfers can take a little longer to receive. CHAPS payments usually arrive on the same day, if the payment is made before the cutoff time. Banks have their own cutoff times, but the CHAPS system is open 6 am - 6 pm UK time on weekdays. If you or a customer is making a CHAPS transfer, it’s a good idea to check with the sending bank on their cutoff time.
